Where it started

RonVue began
with a question.

"Why should a rowing suit be uncomfortable?"

Over three years on the water, I watched young rowers train in adult-sized gear that never quite fit. Whatever the discomfort, they kept rowing. I watched up-and-coming athletes dig old suits out of the boathouse and make do.

Before drafting a single pattern, I went and asked the people whose stories rarely make the news. They didn’t need lighter carbon fiber. What they needed was

a rowing suit they’d still want to wear after 10 kilometers.

Every seam that shifted by 0.5 cm shifted because someone, out on the water, said, “It still feels a little uncomfortable here.” I didn’t change a cut for the numbers alone. I changed it so rowers could focus on the next stroke, not the suit.

That’s why RonVue exists.
